Heath, 44, arrived at USF after serving as head coach at the University of Arkansas for five seasons.  While with the Razorbacks, Heath guided the program to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances (2006, 2007) and an overall record of 82-71.  UA posted 20-win campaigns in each of his final two seasons, and 2006-07 was highlighted by a run to the championship game of the SEC tournament and subsequent participation in the NCAAs.

The 6′10, 245 lb sophomore originally signed with Virginia Tech in November 2006 but was granted a release from his National Letter of Intent … Then enrolled at Maryland in January but the Atlantic Coast Conference ruled he would not be eligible until the completion of the fall 2008 semester and would lose a year of eligibility because of ACC intra-conference transfer rules.

Gilchrist is averaging 20.7 points per game and 8.3 rebounds.

Tipoff is set for 9:30 pm at the Carolina First Arena. The game will be televised on CSS.
